My Books

I’ve read many books before but here is a list of my favorites (not in order) :

- Slated

  • This book takes place in 2035 where terrorism is at an all time low. This is because instead of putting young terrorist in jail, they would wipe their memory if they were under 16. This is about a girl named Kyla. She goes to live with her new family but Kyla is different. The voices in her head make her seem like she’s not a good little slated. It’s really good I definitely recommend it.

- Turtles All The Way Down
  • This book is romantic, thrilling, mysterious and brings in real life problems. The main character Aza has really bad anxiety and OCD, she’s 16 and tries to live her life in the most daring way possible, even if her mental state gets in the way.
- Looking For Alaska
  • This book is funny, thrilling, and sad. It’s about Miles and his friends, this is first year of boarding school and he may not know it yet, but this year will change his life forever.
- Mick Harte Was Here
  • This is a sad and short story. I read it in 5th grade and I still read it all the time
- Dear Martin
  • Brings up social justice issues and is longer
- The Hate U Give
  • Again with social justice issues and is also long but it does have some romance, but with romance, you get tragedy
- POD
  • It’s an alien book. I personally hate alien stories but this one’s really good and is told by 2 different points of view
- Life As We Knew It
  • This book is about what would happen if an asteroid hit the moon and brought it closer to Earth. This is an entire series and the books themselves aren’t too long.
- Imperfect Spiral
- Two Way Street
  • Another basic love story except they have to go on a road trip while they’re broken up. This book is also told by 2 different points of views, but it also has flashbacks, and very different mindsets
- I Am Not a Serial Killer
  • This is a very intense book that’s not for the faint of heart. It shows how the quiet ones always know the most.
